First Mako 4 robotic shoulder replacement in Australia
On 1 October 2026 at Maroochy Private Hospital, Dr Coory performed the first shoulder replacement in Australia on Mako 4, the fourth generation of the Mako robotic system. It felt almost identical to the previous generation, and that is the useful result.

Now operating at Noosa Day Hospital, Noosaville
Noosa Day Hospital, the new three-theatre day surgery at 36 Hofmann Drive, has added Dr Coory to its list of operating surgeons. Day-case upper limb surgery can now be performed in Noosa; inpatient procedures continue at the private hospitals.
